X-Wing
A digit appears in exactly two aligned cells across two rows or columns.
How to find it
- Choose a candidate digit and scan rows.
- Find two rows where it occurs in the same two columns.
- Eliminate the digit from other cells in those columns.
Logical demonstration
The violet cells represent the pattern; the gold cell represents the resulting placement or elimination. Verify every highlighted candidate belongs to the required houses before acting.
