Three bivalue cells form a pivot and two wings that force a shared elimination.

How to find it

  1. Find a pivot with candidates XY.
  2. Find one peer with XZ and another with YZ.
  3. Remove Z from cells that see both wings.

Logical demonstration

The violet cells represent the pattern; the gold cell represents the resulting placement or elimination. Verify every highlighted candidate belongs to the required houses before acting.

  • Using cells that do not share the required row, column, box or peer relationship.
